Doctor Who Blog Party – Last Day!

This outfit I actually put together a while ago for a Doctor Who event a local library held. (I know! I live in Ohio and they had a Doctor Who event at a local library! I was so excited. They had a model TARDIS there and everything).

I had a bunch of outfits put together that I was going to model/photograph today, but I ended up not having time. So I’ll leave you with this one that I did a couple weeks back. :)

Maybe I’ll do my other outfits tomorrow and post them just for fun.

So this is my 10th Doctor inspired look… “girl-ized”. :)

(Looks like something snuck behind me in this picture!)

Doctor Who Blog Party – Day 5(ish)

I’m not quite sure what day I’m on! I think it’s day 5…Anyway, today is the first day I’m doing a Doctor Who inspired outfit. I put this one together with Amy Pond in mind. Her style is very layer-esque, so it’s pretty easy to pull off her look just by layering a couple tops and topping it off with a leather jacket. Unfortunantly, I only own a brown leather jacket and black leather boots, so I had to mix my leather colors (horror of horrors!) But I like how it turned out anyway!

Doctor Who Blog Party – Day 1!

|the questions|

1| If you decided to name your first born child after any Doctor Who character, male or female, who would it be?

Hmmm. I’m not sure! Maybe…Sophie? I really like the name Sophie. :) And Sophie Rose is a lovely name!
2| What is your favourite colour of the Doctor’s shoes?

The red ones. Definitely. :)
3| Look around yourself and name the one thing that is TARDIS blue in your house!

Oh my….hm….I see things out and about in stores that are TARDIS blue all the time, but we don’t really have a ton of it around our house.
4| If you could pick who plays the Twelfth Doctor which actor would you choose and why?

I’ve seen lots of cool manips of different actors as the 12th Doctor, and I can’t decide. I think Tom Hiddleston would be fantastic, however I like the idea of him playing a grown up Alfie (Stormageddon) better. :) hehe. (I just saw that on Tumblr) I don’t know enough British actors to name one off the top of my head.
5| The Doctor is going back in time again, which historical era should he visit?

1890’s, America!
6| Would you REALLY go with the Doctor in the TARDIS?

I think I would. I wouldn’t leave without telling anyone though. And I’d try to call home as often as I could.
7| Who’s your favorite Doctor and why?

Ten. Hands down, no contest. Because…well, you know, David Tennant. Not just because he’s cute and handsome and adorable, but because I loved the character he brought to the Doctor. How silly, but yet how serious and dark it was as well.
8| Would you be afraid to spend Christmas in London?

I don’t know….I don’t think so. Because the Doctor seems to be able to handle everything quite well. And Christmas in London sounds too enjoyable to pass up.
9| Do you look at an ordinary screwdriver and think ‘this could be a bit more sonic?’
I must not be too far gone into the Who Fandom because…no, I don’t. LOL!

10| Angel statues, plastic mannequins, Christmas trees – what ordinary everyday object would you love to make an object of terror to Whovians were you Steven Moffat?

Wow, I’m not sure. Maybe Post-It Notes!
11| The TARDIS lands in your garden and the Doctor steps out. What is the first thing you say to him?

“I can’t believe you actually came!”
12| Who is your favorite actor who has played the Doctor so far and why?

David Tennant. Seriously, he is one of the best actors I have ever had the pleasure to watch. I mean, he’s got SUCH a range of acting he can do…he can do the silly comedy, the dark anger, the emotional sadness, and it all looks totally natural. And also because DT wanted to be the Doctor for such a long time when he was a kid. And I think that he’s proof that a dream like that can come true.
13| Have you seen any Classic Doctor Who? If so, which Doctor/episode(s) is your favorite?

I haven’t actually watched any Classic Who, but I love Tom Baker. :)
14| Which are the creepiest, scariest and all-out meanest baddies in all the Who-niverse?

Oh, the Silence. Without a doubt. The Angels are scary, but as far as BADDIES go, the Silence take the cake.
15| Who is/are your favorite Companion(s) and why?

I love Rose most, because she was my first. And I loved her relationship with the Doctor…both 9 and 10. And I loved that she ended up with her “Doctor” in the end. Donna and Amy tie. Donna, because she was a good break from all the romantic tension that happened with Rose and Martha. However, the way they mad her leave was painful…but I’m glad she ended up happy anyway. Amy because she shares my name and it’s really cool to have the same name as a Companion. :) And I LOVED her and Rory’s relationship. it was just….PERFECT.
16| Did you cry more watching Doomsday or The Angels Take Manhattan?

Oh, Angels Take Manhattan hands down. I was sobbing. And still sobbing hours after.
17| What is your favorite quote from the show?

I’m so bad at thinking of quotes off the top of my head. But probably the “Wibbly, Wobbly, Timey, Wimey” because I use it a lot whenever referring to something confusing.

Edit: I forgot, I LOVE this quote: “The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant.” ~The Doctor

Best quote ever!
18| Which Doctor (including all previous regenerations) would you most like to be the companion of, and why?
I think Ten would be the most fun to be the companion of. Because he was protective, but yet he’s funny too. And come on, the Tennant hugs. :D

19| Which of the following are you more scared of, the Daleks, Cybermen, or the Weeping Angles?
Probably the Weeping Angels. Because of the fact they can move if you’re not looking. You can out run the Daleks or the Cybermen. But the Angels…

20| Who are some of your favorite guest stars in the series?
I loved when Hugh Bonneville was the Captain on Curse of the Black Spot and when he came back in A Good Man Goes To War.

21| What was your first experience with Doctor Who and how did you hear about the series?

Series 1, Episode 1. I’d had many friends tell me about it over the past few years and I just finally started watching it a few months ago. And watched 6 seasons in like…2 months maybe?
22| The Ninth Doctor said, ‘Fantastic!’, Ten said, ‘Allons-y’, and Eleven says, ‘Geronimo'; what would you like to be the signature exclamation of the Twelfth Doctor?

Agh, I’m not good at coming up with things like this! Maybe “Magnificent?” Because Ten’s and Eleven’s exclamations were both versions of “Let’s go!” while Nine’s was more of a “Cool!” exclamation. So maybe something else like his.
23| If you were trapped in an episode, which one would it be?

Even though it was kind of creepy, I really liked The Idiot’s Lantern because of the fact it was set in the 1950’s and their clothes were super awesome.
24| Which is your favorite episode with each Doctor (Nine, Ten and Eleven)?

Nine – “The Doctor Dances” (Just this once….Everybody lives!)

Ten – I’ve got 2… “The Sound of Drums” and “Last of the Time Lords”. It’s the 2-parter at the end of Season 3.

Eleven – “Vincent and the Doctor”
25| After watching a certain Doctor Who episode, did you summon up the courage to try fish sticks and custard?

Lol! No…I still haven’t. I’m going to…but we don’t keep either around the house and I’m not normally the one who goes to the grocery store, so…. :)
